The Office of Multi-Ethnic Student Affairs, Native American Student Association, and partners across campus are thrilled to share a dynamic and timely slate of November programming at the University of Michigan in honor and celebration of Native American Heritage Month.

Native American Heritage Month is an annual observance honoring the histories, cultures, and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors have lived in North America since time immemorial.

Together, campus will host special carillon recitals, public talks, community gatherings, screenings, and more, focusing in on many aspects of Native American life, history, and culture. Events include an evening with speaker James Vukelich Kaagegaabaw, the Ross School of Business Native American Heritage Month Conference, Feel Good Frybread at UMMA, the inaugural Gaa-bigooshkaaning Round Dance, carillon recitals at Burton Memorial Tower and Lurie Tower, Native American Stories Reclaimed From the Archive, and a public viewing of Sisters Rising.

We hope you will join us for these special events happening at the University of Michigan this November. Please visit our Native American Heritage Month calendar for an up-to-date listing of these events and links to their full details and registrations (where required). You can stay up to date on MESA events by joining our mailing list and following us on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
