September 8, 2025  |  By Nick Pfost

The Office of Multi-Ethnic Student Affairs' Latine Heritage Month planning committee is excited to announce the calendar of programming for Latine Heritage Month at the University of Michigan this fall. This year's theme, "El Orgullo de Ser" / "The Pride of Being" / "O Orgulho de Ser," centers pride and connection within Latine communities. Events are planned and organized by student organizations and campus units.

Latine Heritage Month is U-M's month-long exploration and celebration of Latine/a/o/x cultures, contributions, and identities, held mid September through mid October to coincide with National Hispanic American Heritage Month, observed September 15–October 15.

Campus programs include community gatherings, music and performances, talks, and food. Specific events this year feature the opening ceremony with Erika Sánchez, a carillon recitals, a dance workshop, multicultural yard show, and the Día de los Muertos Ball.

We invite you to join us for these events and more during Latine Heritage Month at U-M. For full details and registration links, please see the Latine Heritage Month calendar. Stay connected by joining our MESA mailing list and following us on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
