Effective January 1, Student Life will reorganize Trotter and MESA into a single unit, bringing together two units with similarly-aligned missions. This change will allow Student Life to strengthen collaboration, increase operating efficiency, and expand their reach to the campus community under a coordinated strategy.
The newly merged unit will remain focused on uplifting the unique experiences, traditions, and strengths of both Trotter and MESA, leveraging their legacies as we move forward together.
There will be no immediate change in student programming. Current MESA programs such as heritage month celebrations, grants and early welcome programs for new students, will continue, as will Trotter’s. MESA operations will continue to operate for the time being from the Michigan Union.
