BLACK HISTORY MONTH 2025
It Starts with Us: Embracing Our Collective Power
This year's theme is a powerful reminder of the legacy of remarkable Black achievements and steadfast activism as we pursue a better future. It reflects a commitment to strengthening community bonds, reshaping narratives, and amplifying voices.
Black History Month at U-M is led by the Office of Multi-Ethnic Student Affairs' Black History Month Committee, in close partnership with Supporting Incoming Black Students (SIBS) and Black Student Union (BSU). Our committee of 18 members works to make Black History Month a memorable experience for undergraduate and graduate students, staff, and faculty at the University of Michigan.
