The Office of Multi-Ethnic Student Affairs' Arab Heritage Month planning committee is excited to share an enriching slate of programming at the University of Michigan in March and April to honor and showcase Arab heritage and culture. Events are planned and organized by student organizations and units across campus.

Inspired by the theme, "Our Strength: Celebrating Arab Culture," the occasion empowers the community to share their stories, traditions, and experiences, creating a platform for dialogue, unity, and understanding.

Arab Heritage Month celebrates the Arab American history, culture, and traditions, and pays tribute to the contributions of Arab Americans and Arabic-speaking Americans. While Arab American Heritage Month is commemorated nationally in April, U-M units recognize the month from mid-March to mid-April.

Together, campus will host a variety of talks, teach-ins, community gatherings, and opportunities for delicious food. Events include the month's opening ceremony hosted by MESA, a focus week on Arab Palestinian experiences hosted by the Arab Student Association, Unity Ball, a faculty meet and greet, and a collaboration with Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month.

We hope you will join us for these special events—and more!—happening at the University of Michigan this semester. Please visit our Arab Heritage Month calendar for an up-to-date listing of these events and links to their full details and registrations (where required).
