Braini McKenzie (she/her/hers) serves as Program Manager in MESA. Braini was born and raised in the Turks and Caicos Islands and identifies as Afro-Caribbean/Black. She is a first-gen graduate with a Bachelor's of Science in Education with minors in Math and Psychology from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, and a Master's of Arts in Higher Education with a concentration in Student Access and Success from the University of Michigan. Braini's experiences include managing and designing university and college-wide programming, such as mentorship services, first-generation student support, student leadership development initiatives as well as professional development curricula. She is looking forward to providing students with intentional support and engagement opportunities to maximize their experiences at U of M. In her spare time, Braini enjoys travel, painting portraits and spending time with family and friends!
