Call for Volunteers - 2013 Color of Change Community Summit

The Color of Change 2013 Planning Committee is currently seeking energetic volunteers!  The 2013 Color of Change Community Summit is a 2.5 day-long conference set to take place Friday, April 12th through Sunday, April 14th at the University of Michigan School of Social Work. The mission of the Summit is to build community and cultivate power around the lived experiences of queer and trans* people of color (QTPoC) in the state of Michigan.

Asian/Pacific Islander Heritage Month at Michigan is beginning!! 

While national recognized in May, UM celebrations have started last week and continues on til mid/late April. Office of Multi-Ethnic Student Affairs & Trotter Multicultural Center teams up with United Asian American Student Organization to raise awareness about the month and the activities happening in the student communities and other campus events.

41st Annual Dance for Mother Earth Powwow

The 41st Annual Dance for Mother Earth Powwow will take place on April 6th and 7th, 2013 at the Crisler Center (333 E. Stadium Blvd., Ann Arbor).  The Powwow is among the largest university powwows and features North America's greatest drums, singers, dancers, and Native American artisans, and food vendors.  

Grand Entries begin at 12pm and 7pm on Saturday, and 12 pm on Sunday. Ticket prices are $10 for adults, $7 for seniors and students with ID, $25 for families, and $5 for children (children under 5 are free).

41st Annual Dance for Mother Earth Powwow

It's that time of year again-- Powwow time! We need your help in making it the best one yet! The 41st Annual Dance for Mother Earth Powwow will be on April 6 & 7, 2013 at the Crisler Arena in Ann Arbor, MI. The Dance for Mother Earth Powwow always needs help from volunteers (that's YOU)! Volunteers receive a FREE day's admission, a volunteer badge, and of course, the grateful appreciation of the Powwow Committee.

Emphasis is placed on social justice oriented programming that seeks to educate participants in addition to fostering an environment that promotes cross-cultural community development as we come together to celebrate a month of cultural richness and diversity.
