Want to help incoming freshmen? Want to expand your knowledge on social justice and gain leadership experience? South Asian Awareness Network is looking for mentors of south asian identity for the arise mentorship program!
The SAAN Arise Mentorship Program strives to create a platform for dialogue on the intersection of social justice and culture by pairing incoming South Asian first years with a diverse set of South Asian leaders on campus. Through these dialogues and more intimate settings, the program hopes to create a safe space for students to grow and improve their experience at the University, while empowering individuals to develop an awareness and a passion for activism.
This is the second year of this program as Michigan students get paired with incoming south asian freshmen to serve them as a mentor and participate in SAAN's biweekly dialogue. Learn, Connect, and gain experience! Apply today with this application:
