Students are essential in supporting MESA/Trotter’s mission and vision as an office, as they play an important role in implementation and support of the programs and services that we offer to student communities and the larger campus community.
Who’s Eligible? You must be federal work-study eligible in order to qualify for the positions. Additionally, we are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic, commitment to social justice & community development work, and demonstrate leadership skills. What are these positions?
3 Undergraduate Student Positions
* Administrative Assistant - This person has a primary focus on assisting with functional and administrative components of the work including but not limited to data entry, filing, overall office coverage, copying, mailings, etc as well as supporting staff in any particular administrative need as appropriate.* For this position only, we are searching for availability in Spring/Summer term with tentative offer to continue through Fall/Winter contingent on performance.
* Graphic Design Artist- This person will assist in the design and creation of marketing and print publications for various events and programs that the office puts on or supports throughout the year.
*Student Services Assistant- This person will be working with MESA/Trotter's social media efforts through Facebook, Twitter, & website to stay connected and present in online media outlets to keep MESA/Trotter programs and services visible and relevant to campus community.
2 Graduate Student Positions:
* Program Assistant for Grants- This person supports the Grants Committee in the decision making and coordinator of grant recipients for the MESA/Trotter Grants program for student organizations doing diversity and social justice programs.
* Program Assistant for Mentorship Programs- This person assists in the coordination and management of the various mentorship programs hosted by the office, and provides guidance and support in the programs development, recruitment and implementation throughout the year.
