Asian/Pacific Islander Heritage Month at Michigan is beginning!!
While national recognized in May, UM celebrations have started last week and continues on til mid/late April. Office of Multi-Ethnic Student Affairs & Trotter Multicultural Center teams up with United Asian American Student Organization to raise awareness about the month and the activities happening in the student communities and other campus events.
This year's theme is Rediscovering Roots to signify the importance of the connection to our cultural heritage and the need to educate ourselves about our personal and collective histories. Through annual events in our student communities we are able to create spaces to build and connect with each other and celebrate our cultural heritage.
Above is a calendar listing of other events happening during the month. This is not an exhaustive or comprehensive list of all events, but just a few of the ones happening in the student communities through UAAO and other student organizations.
